Overview

What Is Adalank?

Adalank is the name commonly used for N-acetyl Selank amidate, also written as NA-Selank amidate. It keeps the seven-amino-acid sequence of Selank—Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro—with an acetyl group on the N-terminus and an amide on the C-terminus. The shorthand is Ac-TKPRPGP-NH₂.

Selank is itself a synthetic analogue of tuftsin, a small immune-signaling peptide. Its research history includes anxiety-related outcomes, neurotransmission, and neurotrophic signaling. Adalank is discussed as a way to retain that general research profile while changing how quickly the peptide is broken down.

Capping a peptide’s ends can change its susceptibility to enzymes. That is a design rationale, rather than proof that Adalank has a particular half-life, crosses the blood-brain barrier better, or works more strongly than Selank in humans.

Adalank is distinct from Adamax, which belongs to the Semax family. N-acetyl Selank amidate does not contain an adamantane group.

Mechanism

Adalank Mechanism of Action

Terminal Capping

N-terminal acetylation and C-terminal amidation modify the exposed ends of Selank. Resistance to enzymatic breakdown is the intended advantage; a reliable human Adalank half-life has not been established.

GABAergic Signaling

Parent Selank altered neurotransmission-related gene expression in rat frontal cortex, including GABA-related pathways. This supports a research hypothesis for Adalank, not a demonstrated receptor effect in people. Selank animal study.

Neurotrophic Signaling

Intranasal Selank has been studied for BDNF expression in the rat hippocampus. Whether N-acetyl Selank amidate reproduces the same changes remains unconfirmed. Parent-peptide BDNF research.

Enkephalin-Related Activity

A small Selank trial examined anxiety symptoms alongside enkephalin activity. That work provides parent-compound context, without validating Adalank as an anxiety treatment. Selank clinical study.

Research findings

Adalank Benefits

These are research interests and reported goals. Evidence from Selank is identified separately from claims about Adalank itself.

Anxiety-Related Research

A small clinical comparison studied Selank in patients with anxiety disorders. Adalank has not been shown to deliver the same clinical outcome.

Calmer Focus

Reduced distraction from stress is a common reason people discuss Adalank. Improved attention or productivity has not been demonstrated in controlled Adalank trials.

Stress Resilience

The Selank research program and anecdotal use motivate interest in stress responses. A reliable Adalank effect size or onset is not known.

Learning & Memory

Parent-peptide animal studies explore cognitive and neurotrophic pathways. These do not establish better memory in healthy people using Adalank.

Potentially Altered Duration

Terminal modifications may change peptide stability. Claims that Adalank lasts a fixed number of hours or is several times stronger remain unverified.

Comparative Peptide Research

The most useful scientific question is how this exact modified molecule differs from Selank in stability, exposure, activity, and tolerability.

Preparation

Adalank Reconstitution & Nasal Preparation

Nasal spray preparation example

10mg Adalank in 5mL final volume

At 0.1mL per spray200mcg/spray

Nasal preparation

1
Prepare

Use a nasal formulation with a suitable diluent and preservative system. This example illustrates concentration; it does not establish an Adalank formulation or a human dose.

2
Measure the final mixture

The arithmetic example contains 10mg Adalank in 5mL final liquid volume, giving 2mg/mL. Use the documented final volume of the actual preparation.

3
Confirm pump output

At a measured 0.1mL per spray, 2mg/mL delivers 200mcg per spray. Check the bottle specification and actual output; another pump volume changes the amount per spray.

4
Storage

Keep refrigerated and protected from light according to the formulation instructions. Record the prep date in your research journal.

Reconstitution Example

10mg vial + 3mL BAC water

Result3.33mg/mL

SubQ vial preparation

1
Prepare

Wash hands, clean the work surface, and wipe vial stoppers with alcohol. Allow them to dry.

2
Add diluent slowly

Use a new sterile syringe and needle to add 3mL BAC water down the inside vial wall when compatible with the formulation.

3
Dissolve gently

Swirl or roll until dissolved; do not shake.

4
Storage

Refrigerate after reconstitution and protect from light. Follow the formulation’s storage instructions. Record the reconstitution date in your research journal.

N=1 reports

Adalank Community Experience

Self-reported anecdotal experiences aggregated from public & private peptide community discussions and anonymous peptideprotocols.app user reports. This information does not carry the same weight as published research.

Positive Reports

  • Some users describe a calmer feeling and less physical tension.
  • Some find the amidated form more noticeable than standard Selank.
  • Others discuss it for stress-related distraction rather than stimulation.

Negative & Mixed Reports

  • Some users notice little or no difference, including little advantage over other Selank forms.
  • Reports sometimes mix Selank, N-acetyl Selank, and N-acetyl Selank amidate, making comparisons unreliable.
  • Isolated reports describe unwanted sensations or altered taste; frequency and causation are unknown.
Stacking & synergy

Adalank Stacking & Synergy

These are community-discussed combinations, not validated Adalank combination protocols.

Adalank + Adamax

A community-discussed pairing of Selank-derived calm-focus goals with Semax-derived attention goals. The combination has not been validated in controlled human studies.

Adalank + Pinealon

Sometimes discussed when stress resilience and longer-term cognitive research goals overlap. Evidence does not establish an additive benefit.

Adalank + Selank

These share the Selank backbone. Combining them makes it harder to tell which form is responsible for an effect, without a demonstrated advantage.

Safety notes

Adalank Side Effects & Safety

Adalank-specific human safety data are limited. Neither parent Selank experience nor chemical stability claims establish the safety of this modified form.

Long-term effects, interaction risks, and a safe human exposure range have not been established.

Local Tolerability

  • Nasal irritation or discomfort may relate to the formulation as well as the peptide.
  • SubQ self-reports do not establish injection safety; local irritation and contamination remain concerns.

Uncertain Systemic Effects

  • Changes in alertness, mood, or physical sensations should not automatically be interpreted as a beneficial response.
  • Small self-report samples cannot reliably identify uncommon or delayed adverse effects.

Adalank Precautions

Do not use if you have
  • Known hypersensitivity to the peptide or formulation ingredients.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding; adequate safety data are unavailable.
Use caution with
  • Existing psychiatric or neurological conditions and prescribed psychoactive medications.
  • Sedatives, alcohol, or multi-compound nootropic routines; interactions have not been characterized.
Regulatory status: N-acetyl Selank amidate is not an FDA-approved medicine. Research-only labeling does not establish safety for human use.
Final verdict

Peptide Protocols Verdict on Adalank

Not medical advice. This editorial is our own opinion piece based off the experience of our own lab rats.
Our opinionated opinion

We’ve used Adalank both on its own and paired with Adamax. In our experience, it is marginally better than Selank alone, but the difference is modest. Where it stands out for us is alongside Adamax: that pairing has been our preferred way to use it.

That is our personal experience, not evidence of clinical superiority or a proven combination benefit. Our grade remains C because direct human evidence for N-acetyl Selank amidate is limited.
