What Is Testagen?
Testagen is a synthetic tetrapeptide composed of lysine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine, giving it the sequence Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly, or KEDG. It was developed within the Russian peptide-bioregulator research tradition associated with Vladimir Khavinson.
Short peptides such as KEDG have been studied for their ability to enter cells and nuclei, interact with DNA and histone-associated structures, and influence gene expression. Laboratory work has reported preferential interaction between Testagen and specific DNA sequences, but the clinical meaning of those interactions remains uncertain.
Not Testosterone or TRT
Testagen does not supply testosterone and is not an androgen, gonadotropin, or testosterone-replacement product. It is better described as an experimental signaling peptide proposed to influence endogenous tissue function.
