Does PT-141 spray work?

There are a few randomized studies showing the nasal route can work, but there’s a catch: the nasal dose is roughly 7–10 times higher than subQ, and subQ is already FDA approved. Unless needles are the issue, I’m not sure what the spray improves.

I've seen a bunch of comments from people who've tried PT-141 and the overwhelming response was that it did not work in nasal form. On the flip side the dosing for subq effectiveness is all over the map. They all say it works, but start super small because if you are sensitive, it can cause some unwanted side effects. Smart to test the dosing waters first.

Mostly because the spray seems easier, and I was hoping it might be cheaper.

The sprays are never cheaper. They are like 3-4x the price. That said you can make your own nasal spray from a vial, which is what I do all the time.

Go to the supplies page > click the nasal pill at the top > buy the spray bottles and the ampoules. You'll also need BAC sodium chloride to help as a preservative which you can get really cheap from peptidetest.com. Grab 5 bottles because in time you'll use them. I always have a nasal spray of something going on. Once you figure out the dilution math, you'll do 50% sterile saline and 50% bac sodium chloride. I can help you if you have further questions.

That’s the catch. If nasal takes 7–10 times the dose, it probably won’t be cheaper. SubQ might be less convenient, but on dose and price it wins pretty easily.

I did a quick search and the nasal versions I found were up to about four times the cost. Easier, maybe. Cheaper definitely not.
